About Me
Jonny Stroud
Hi there! My name is Jonny, and I'm an aspiring filmmaker. As someone who loves both writing and directing films, I am particularly passionate about cinematography and capturing the perfect shot. I pride myself on being a self-driven, rational and logical person, who always aims to create work that is both emotionally powerful and thought-provoking.
I am a highly patient individual who excels in working under pressure. Whether it's being on a time crunch during a shoot, shooting in densely populated areas, or dealing with unforeseen challenges such as unpredictable weather conditions, I remain calm and level-headed. My experience in film projects such as 48hr film challenges and time-pressured shoots has helped me develop the skills required to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines.
UNIVERSITY OF PORTSMOUTH

I study at the University Of Portsmouth doing a Film Production degree. Previous students have gone off to make feature films and with other professional projects such as the director of Stephen Graham 'Boiling Point' (2021) Philip Barantini. In my chosen module's I specify my skills in my practical classes such as Cinematography, Under-water Cinematography (PADI OPEN WATER TRAINED), Directing and Fiction Filmmaking. These modules are taught by other industry professionals like Ben Hodgson (DOP), Riyadh Haque (Director/Producer), Andrew Zinnes (Writer/Producer) and many more. On this course I have learnt to develop good communication, crew management and team bonding skills. At the uni I have been able to use cameras such as ARRI ALEXA/MINI, Sony PWD FS7, Black Magic and Canon 7Ds. I have also had editing experience using AVID Media Composer and Premier Pro.
